Delete your Oceans account and data

For the Oceans app, published by Martians Tech.

Last updated: 21 August 2026

You can ask us to delete your Oceans account and the personal data associated with it at any time, free of charge. You do not need to have the app installed to make the request, and you do not need to sign in to this page.

Request account deletion

Send us a deletion request by email. This is the fastest route and it is the one we monitor.

Email privacy@oceans.app

If the button does not open your mail app, write to privacy@oceans.app with the subject “Oceans account deletion request”.

Steps to request deletion

  1. Write to privacy@oceans.app from the email address registered with your Oceans account, using the subject “Oceans account deletion request”.
  2. Tell us which account to delete. Include the email address and, if you registered with one, the phone number on the account. Do not send your password — we never need it and we will never ask for it.
  3. Confirm your identity. We reply to confirm the request came from the account holder. If you write from an address other than the registered one, we may ask for another way to verify that the account is yours. This step protects you: without it, anyone could delete your account.
  4. We confirm when it is done. We complete verified requests within 30 days, and normally much sooner, then email you to confirm the deletion and tell you what was kept for legal reasons.

What is deleted

When we delete your account, we erase the personal data associated with it from our systems:

DataWhat happens
Account credentials — email address, phone number, password hashDeleted

What is kept, and for how long

We are legally required to keep some records even after your account is deleted. These are kept in a form that is no longer linked to your profile, are not used to contact you or to build a profile of you, and are deleted when the period below ends.

Data keptWhyHow long
Booking, invoice and payment records — amount, date, currency, transaction reference Commercial, tax and anti-money-laundering law in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 10 years from the transaction
Proof that you gave, or withdrew, a marketing or privacy consent Evidence that we processed your data lawfully 3 years
Security, fraud and access logs Security and fraud prevention 12 months

We do not keep anything beyond what is listed here.

Deleting some of your data without deleting your account

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove specific data. Write to privacy@oceans.app and tell us what you want removed — for example a review, your profile photo, your precise location history, or your marketing preferences. The same 30-day response applies.

You can also edit most of your profile data yourself in the app at any time.

Your other rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Law of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia you may also access your data, obtain a copy of it, have it corrected, and withdraw a consent you have given. Our Privacy, Data and Cookies Policy explains all of these and how to exercise them.

Questions or a complaint? Write to privacy@oceans.app. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA) at sdaia.gov.sa.
